Southern Therapy Services, Inc., a therapist owned rehabilitation company with six out patient facilities in the West Georgia area, recently celebrated their eleventh anniversary in LaGrange. Located in the Southern Center for Orthopedics on Vernon Road, Southern Therapy Servcies opened its doors in the Spring of 1990 under the direction of Lori Jeter, P.T., a local therapist. Over the past eleven years, the business has grown in size as well as in number of services provided. The clinic now includes three physical therapists, one occupational therapist, one physical therapy assistant and five support staff members.

Services

Services available at Southern Therapy include comprehensive physical and occupational therapy, aquatic therapy and sports medicine programs. Specialized programs are also offered at Southern Therapy, including an osteoporosis program, an arthritis program and women's health and wellness programs.

The STS staff is very active in the industrial medicine arena, presenting wellness and fitness programs, back schools and other prevention programs. New programs and services are constantly developed and implemented to meet the needs of the community.

Southern Therapy's professional staff is dedicated to providing their patients the highest quality services available. The professional staff includes Lori Jeter, P.T., clinic director and therapist, Amy Purdy, P.T., Laura Smith, P.T., David Scheaffer, O.T.R. and Alisha Higdoen, P.T.A. Each member of the staff is highly trained in their specialty and have received extensive training in their field of expertise.
